The U.S. Department of Defense has announced the death of Army Staff Sgt. Derek J. Farley, 24, of Nassau, NY.
He died on August 17 at Bala Boluk, Farah, Afghanistan, of wounds sustained when an improvised explosive device detonated as he attempted to disarm it.
May he rest in peace as he couldn't in this life.
