U.S. troop death in Afghanistan - Thomas

The U.S. Department of Defense has announced the death of Army Sgt. 1st Class Matthew B. Thomas, 30, of Travelers Rest, SC.

He died on June 20 in Khowst province, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when enemy forces attacked his unit with small arms fire and an improvised explosive device.

May he rest in peace as he couldn't in this life.
